Aliens and UFO facts

I was anxious to see this exhibit because UFOs have been a topic of conversation on my  Myrtle Beach Message Board since it began in 2002.Every spring, just like dandelions popping up in our lawn, someone will mention strange orange or yellow lights, spotted from their hotel balconies, and report the events on the forum. I have met many of these people, and I have no doubt that is exactly what they saw.

After all, there were 59 reports of UFO sightings in 2012. Most eyewitnesses described the lighting a bright orange lights in the sky and fiery red balls all over the Atlantic ocean.

So with an open mind, Wally and I visited "Encounters": UFO Experience at Broadway at the Beach.

Beginning with Ancient Encounters at the entrance, we discovered that UFO sightings date back to ancient Egypt according to hieroglyphics that identified the arrival of UFOs.

We viewed aliens in what looked like chambers or caskets.

An interactive journey then took us to a miitary involvement and radio stations interviewing people who thought they spotted UFOs.

Based on reports from eye-witnesses, you approach a sign that says: "CAUTION: You are about to enter a simulated abduction gallery. If you are afraid of entering this zone, please let an attendant know and management will escort you to another path for the rest of the exhibition."   But don't be fooled by this disclaimer!

The small room is filled with "fog"and bright lights, so it is difficult to see the room itself. Again, this is not a frightening experience (despite how Wally looks in the photo below!) What lies beyond the "abduction" room is the real meat of this exhibition.

You'll view "specimen jars" off what mahy or may not be aliens, as well as interesting UFO quotes and UFO sightings from celebrities such Will Smith, David Bowie, Ronald Regan, Mick Jagger, Jimmy Carter, Jackie Gleason, William Shatner and more. You will even see a "real" alien spacecraft!

The walls throughout the exhibition are fitted fitted with framed testimonials, photos, news clippings, UFO sightings, alien abductions, TV news information about Rosewell, N.M. and even 2 iPads!

And who can resist a smiloe when you see the adorable ET and a poster of the original cast of Star Trek at the Exit area! You'll also see posters and exhibitsincluding UFO-related movies including Disgtrict 9, Mr. Jones Mr. Smith, Cocoon, and Men in Black.

Encounters: U.F.O is fun, fascinating and entertaining for all ages, although very young children and toddlers will probably get bored.  there is no time limit on your visit, and we actually spent more time than I thought we would. Or maybe we really were abducted and lost an hour of earth time.

REASONS WHY WE HAVE NOT YET MET ALIENS

APJ APDUL KALAM

Full name of 'Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam' was 'Dr. Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam'. He was born on October 15, 1931 at Dhanushkothi in the temple town Rameshwaram in Tamil Nadu. He was born in a poor family, but he was an exceptionally brilliant child.

Kalam passed the B.Sc. examination from Saint Joseph College, Thiruchirapalli. He joined Madras Institute of Technology (MIT). His further knowledge in the field got upgraded when he joined Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) in 1958 and Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) in 1963. He is known as the Missile Man of India. The various Indian Missiles of world order like Prithvi, Trishul, Akash, Agni, etc. are mainly the result of his efforts and caliber.

Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam became the 11th President of India. He served the country from 2002 to 2007. For his excellence and brilliance, he was awarded the prestigious Bharat Ratna in 1998; Padma Vibhushan in 1990; and Padma Bhushan in 1981.

Dr Kalam expired on Monday 27 July 2015. He suddenly fell unconscious when he was delivering a lecture at the Indian Institute of Management at Shillong. On 30 July 2015, the former President was laid to rest at Rameswaram's Pei Karumbu Ground with full state honours. Over 350,000 people attended the last rites, including the Prime Minister, the governor of Tamil Nadu and the chief ministers of Karnataka, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh.

Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam was mainly interested in work. He was a bachelor. He was not interested in going abroad. He wanted to serve his motherland first. He said that he thinks his first and foremost duty is to serve his motherland. He was fond of music and the Koran and the Gita. Ever since becoming the head of the Indian State, he had been having interaction with children all over the country. He was by no means a miracle man. His advice to the youngster of the nation was to "dream dream and convert these into thoughts and later into actions".

THE END OF THE EARTH

Nobody can say we didn’t have a good innings. After all, the human race has been here for the best part of 2.8 million years.

But all good things must come to an end and, sooner or later, so must humanity’s stint on Earth.

Doom-mongers predicted a massive asteroid would slam into Earth some time last week.

And extinction by space rock is also the subject of tonight’s new Sky comedy You, Me and the Apocalypse, which tells of an eight mile wide comet just 34 days away obliterating us all.

But there are so many other ways in which the human race could be wiped out any day now.

From catastrophic climate change to black holes and robot wars, here are 10 apocalyptic visions that could end the world as we know it…

AREA 51

With all the secrecy shrouding Area 51, it's time for some light to be shed. Learn more about the nicknames, entertainment, food, spy planes, and rumors surrounding this infamous site.

On August 15, 2013 the CIA finally acknowledged the existence of Area 51. After repeated freedom of information request made by George Washington University the CIA lifted the veil of secrecy on Area 51.

On December 8, 2013 President Obama makes an off hand comment about Area 51, becoming the first President to publicly acknowledge its existence. This does not mean they are talking openly about UFOs and military secrets but it does open the door for lawsuits and additional freedom of information request from the public.

The name ‘Area 51’ derives from its marking on 1950’s Nevada Test Site maps. Today, the official name of Area 51 is Air Force Flight Test Center, Detachment 3, or AFFTC Det. 3 for short. For years even our own government denied its existence until Soviet pictures confirmed what many knew all along. The base did exist. The facility was originally designed for the testing of U-2 spy planes, and ultimately Stealth technology would be born there. The secret site has grown to many times its original size. The USAF took over command of Area 51, and its airspace in 1970.

  • Area 51 was also referred to as Groom Lake (the name of the dry lake Area 51 was built around), Paradise Ranch (a half-serious way to entice employees to accept positions at the remote, rustic base), Watertown (the official name of the test site, given in 1956), and Dreamland (after an Edgar Allan Poe poem).
  • Area 51’s nickname DREAMLAND was allegedly derived from an Edgar Allan Poe poem by the same name. It admonishes that “the traveler, traveling through it, may not-dare not openly view it; Never its mysteries are exposed, to the weak human eye unclosed.”
  • The first known use of the area was the construction in 1941 of an auxiliary airfield for the West Coast Air Corps Training Center at Las Vegas Air Field. Known as Indian Springs Airfield Auxiliary No. 1, it consisted of two dirt 5000' runways.
  • Under President Dwight Eisenhower the Groom Lake facility was put in the hands of the CIA for Project Aquatone, for the development of the Lockheed U-2 reconnaissance aircraft in April 1955.
  • This mysterious fortress and its surrounding grounds are strictly off-limits. What secrets are kept inside this highly guarded facility? The rumors abound. Yes, there have been pictures of craft doing amazing maneuvers over these guarded skies and pictures and video smuggled from inside have become legend. These smuggled articles show living and dead aliens, spacecraft of futuristic design, but still the government denies these claims.
  • Helen Frost, whose husband Robert died in 1988 from the fumes, filed a lawsuit against the government in 1996 but the case was dismissed by the judge because the government could neither confirm nor deny the allegations, and it was also stated that the base is exempt from any environmental laws.
  • During the 70's and 80's the workers at Area 51 were exposed to jet fuel toxins like JP7. Supposedly old computer parts were also burned in trenches. The workers were ordered to go into the trenches and mix up the material and were only allowed to wear protection up to their waist.

"COMPELLING"EVEDIENCE ON MARS

Earthlings, you are not alone. Scientists from Nasa have reportedly found "compelling" new evidence of life on Mars.

A special mission to the Red Planet has revealed the presence of a form of pond scum — the building blocks of life as we know it, reports the Sun.

Experts from Nasa put forward the claim as they unveiled the results of the recent Opportunity and Spirit probes, which were sent millions of miles through the solar system to discover signs of extraterrestrial life.

The researchers say that the results are so promising that the agency has already planned a host of other missions to discover whether there is extraterrestrial life in the universe.

The recent missions have gathered evidence of sulphates on Mars, a strong indication there is water on the planet and, therefore, life. Previous missions to Mars have concluded there is probably water on the planet.
But the Nasa researchers said the recent missions have gone further than any others in proving there is life on Mars.

They were particularly excited about the discovery of a sulphate called gypsum which, it has emerged recently, is found in large quantities among fossils in the Mediterranean.

"One, thanks to Opportunity and the rovers and orbital imaging it is clear that there are literally vast areas of Mars that are carpeted with various sorts of sulphates, including gypsum.," the Sun quoted Bill Schopf, a researcher at the University of California in Los Angeles, as saying.

Almost 30 Nasa missions to discover life in space - including one to bring back rocks from Mars — have already been planned.
